Committees EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE The Executive Committee consists of the three elected Officers of the Board and is responsible for the overall governance of the association. The Executive is elected by the Board following each AGM. Purpose To develop policies to govern the association. The Committee anticipates critical emerging issues, manages the board’s structure and operations, and ensures the board nominates directors with appropriate skills. COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE Purpose To manage the organization’s image through development and maintenance of communications materials such as the website, member communications, advertisements, sponsorship package materials, and others. The Communications Committee also identifies new opportunities or channels for communicating with members and target audiences. SPONSORSHIP & FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE Purpose To seek sponsors/partners and raise funds to support CKBA’s current and future sustainability as an organization. EVENTS COMMITTEE Purpose To plan events – social and business – throughout the year that are relevant to the interests of membership.
